ZIROLI P-38 Repair

There is a lot of stress incurred in the booms, just aft of the gear doors on a normal landing, and I had about 2 dozen that were pretty hard on the touchdowns.

The original intent was to just throw away the booms and replace them with glass ones from Ziroli, but after they sat in my shed for about a year, I ca-ed them back together.

The breaks were pretty clean, but there was some material lost, no matter, once they were in one piece again, I then broke out the carbon, and trowel it on in there.

I do not anticipate any more problems in this area again, as long as I put the plane down on the wheels and don't do any carrier type slams.
